Choosing a YLDP Track

What track would you like to participate in? - Change Project Track/Debate Track

Participants in the community change project pathway consist of teams of 5-10 people from the same tertiary institution who will carry out community change projects focused on the NYFF’s current thematic areas. In this track, participants are equipped with knowledge to engage community actors, raise funds and carry out projects that bring about sustainable change in their communities.

Participants of the Advocacy Track (Youth Leadership Debates) consist of teams of 2-3 people from the same tertiary institution. Participants will participate in different stages of debates around key national issues around the NYFF’s thematic areas. Teams who arrive at the finals of the competition will be required to use a percentage of their prize money to carry out their proposed change projects.

Change Project Proposal

Irrespective of your track of choice, you are required to be part of a change project team. You can either design a change project of your own which fellow undergraduates from your institution can sign up for, or sign up to be part of a change project team in your institution.
